June 2026 Update: The court granted final approval and entered final judgment on February 25, 2026, dismissing the case with prejudice. No class members objected and only eight opted out. Settlement benefits began going out in late April and early May 2026: approved claimants reported cash payments of roughly $25.00 to $25.53, together with a separate $25 Evenflo product credit for each approved seat (up to two). Some claimants continued to report missing or delayed payments into June and should use the contact form on the official settlement website,

Evenflo Booster Seat Settlement Payments — Nearly 90% of Claims Rejected.
If you purchased an Evenflo "Big Kid" booster seat between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2022, you may have been owed $25 or more in the $3,500,000 child booster seat class action settlement. Evenflo settled after allegations that it misled consumers by labeling and advertising some of its child booster seats as "side impact tested" and safe for children weighing 30 pounds or more. Evenflo denied any wrongdoing whatsoever, but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation. The court did not make any determination of liability.
The total Evenflo booster seat class action settlement fund is $3.5 million, which includes cash payments, administrative costs, attorneys' fees, and service awards.
Anyone in the United States, including U.S. territories, who purchased an Evenflo "Big Kid" booster seat from January 1, 2008, to December 31, 2022, qualified. The full list of included model numbers was published on the official settlement website.

An approved claimant received both benefits for each approved seat — claimants did not have to choose between cash and credit:
• Cash Payment: a pro-rata share of the Net Settlement Fund for each approved booster seat. Approved claimants reported cash payments of roughly $25.00 to $25.53 per seat (Epiq has not published a single universal payout figure on the settlement website, so these amounts come from claimant reports).
• Evenflo Credit: a separate $25.00 credit toward Evenflo products for each approved seat. Some claimants received two $25 credits where two seats were approved.
Benefits were limited to two seats. The Evenflo credits are transferable but cannot be combined with other promotions or stacked in a single transaction, and ordinarily expire one year after the final judgment. Paper checks expire 180 days after issuance. Claimants who elected the cash payment received it as a paper check or their selected electronic payment method (Amazon gift card, Venmo, Zelle, or a prepaid virtual Mastercard).
• Class Period: January 1, 2008 – December 31, 2022
• Deadline to Submit a Claim Form: November 24, 2025
• Deadline to Exclude Yourself / Object: October 10, 2025
• Final Approval Granted / Final Judgment Entered: February 25, 2026
• Payments Distributed: late April – May 2026
No. A receipt or formal proof of purchase was not required to file a claim. Claimants had three options: upload a purchase document (receipt, invoice, credit card statement, or other documentation), enter the purchase details manually (retailer, city and state, date of purchase, and the seat's color or pattern), or upload a photo of the booster seat or its packaging along with the city, state, and year of purchase.
No. The court granted final approval and entered final judgment on February 25, 2026, and settlement benefits were distributed in spring 2026. The November 24, 2025 claim deadline has passed and there is nothing left to file. Of the 733,298 claims submitted, only 75,785 were ultimately treated as valid — roughly 90% of online claims were rejected after fraud screening.
