If you filed a valid claim before the March 4, 2026 deadline and chose a digital payment option, check the email address you used on your claim form for a payment notice (and look in spam folders for messages from the settlement administrator or Venmo). If you have not received anything, you can contact the administrator through the official settlement website, GPStrackersettlement.com.

What Was This Settlement About?

If you bought a LandAirSea GPS tracker from Amazon or from LandAirSea's website between January 12, 2018 and January 12, 2022, you could have received up to $45 per device from a $1.3 million class action settlement. The lawsuit alleged that Land Air Sea Systems falsely labeled its GPS tracker products as "Made in the USA" when they were not entirely manufactured in America. The deadline to file a claim was March 4, 2026, and that deadline has passed.

Land Air Sea Systems denies all allegations and settled to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation. The settlement covers all LandAirSea products purchased from the company's website or Amazon during the class period.

Who Qualified for the LandAirSea GPS Tracker Settlement?

You qualified if you are a person in the United States who purchased one or more LandAirSea products from LandAirSea's website or from Amazon between January 12, 2018 and January 12, 2022.

All LandAirSea GPS tracker models sold during this period are included. Class members who received an email notice about the settlement were eligible to file before the deadline.

How Much Are the Payments?

Each class member is entitled to a pro rata share of the net settlement fund, up to a maximum of $45.00 per LandAirSea product purchased during the class period — and with the claims now processed, consumers report actual payouts of around $55 via Venmo.

Before payments were calculated, the following came out of the $1.3 million fund: attorney fees (up to 30% of the fund), litigation costs and expenses, administration and notice costs, and a $5,000 service award to the plaintiff. The remaining money is divided among all valid claimants on a pro rata basis, which is why the per-claim amount can land above the $45 per-device cap advertised in the notice.

What is "Made in USA" False Advertising?

"Made in USA" false advertising happens when a company labels or markets its products as being manufactured in the United States when the products, or significant components of them, were actually made overseas. Federal and state consumer protection laws require that products labeled "Made in USA" be all or virtually all made in America. When companies falsely use this label, consumers who specifically seek out American-made products are misled about what they are buying.

What Was the LandAirSea GPS Tracker Lawsuit About?

The plaintiff alleged that Land Air Sea Systems sold GPS tracker products that were falsely represented as "Made in the USA" or "Manufactured in the USA" in violation of various state consumer protection and false advertising laws. The complaint claimed that consumers who purchased these products were misled about where the products were actually manufactured.

Land Air Sea Systems denies all allegations and claims asserted against it. The company agreed to settle the case to avoid the risk, burden, and expense of continued litigation. The settlement does not mean that Land Air Sea Systems did anything wrong.
